Thrift Scores

I started diligently thrifting about a year ago. Arthur had run out of hand-me-downs and baby shower gift clothing. We couldn’t afford to buy new clothes, so off to Deseret Industries  I went.

And I was pleasantly surprised. Among the colorful racks of secondhand clothes, I found enough to keep Arthur clothed. Over time, I learned some strategies and what to expect. Last week I made my first thrift store purchase for Lucy and my goodness, it’s a good thing I have a little bit of self-control and an overactive toddler or else I would have come away with a lot more clothing and a lot less money in my wallet.

Here’s some of what I found:

Beautiful. Beautiful. Beautiful. A little handmade classic. Thank you Universe!
Old Navy gingham. Gotta love rompers and their flexible sizing.
Sweet sweet little bloomers with tiny flowers.

Thrifty Tip: Get ready to be surprised.

  1. I haven’t been thrifting since we moved to UT. I’m so used to living in a place that has just tons of absolute crap at thrift stores. This post makes me want to go shopping right now !
