Christmas was pure magic this year. For the first time, Arthur was able to understand the idea of Santa and reindeer and participate in almost all of the Christmas traditions. All month, we read Christmas-related books and talked about Christ’s birth and life. We played with nativity sets and Arthur hung every candy cane on our tree. I made Christmas jammies for the kids for the first time and Arthur loved them so much, he did a little dance after he put his on. This Christmas was even more magical because we got to share it with my sister and her husband. Arthur and Lucy loved playing with their auntie and uncle along with all of the other fun Christmasy things.
I’ve heard people say that the magic of Christmas gets lost once you grow up. But I would argue that the magic of Christmas multiplies infinitely when you get to share it with your own children.
